The short version
- We collect what you give us in a support ticket or a charge lookup, and basic records of page visits.
- We use it to answer you, find payments and keep the site working. We do not sell it and we do not use advertising trackers.
- Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time.
Who we are
This website is run by DeveloperData.net ("Developer Data", "we", "us"), Empire Tower, 41st Floor, Unit 4106-7, South Sathorn Road, Yannawa, Sathorn, Bangkok 10120, Thailand. For anything in this policy, email [email protected] or open a ticket.
What this policy covers
This policy covers developerdata.net, our support desk, and the card payments we take. We build and run online services for other companies and take payments for some of them. Each of those services has its own privacy policy for the information you put into the service itself.
What we collect and why
| When | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| You open a support ticket | Your name, email, the website it is about, a receipt number if you give one, your message, your IP address and the country it comes from. | To answer you, keep the conversation in one place and stop abuse of the form. |
| You look up a charge | The email you paid with, or the last four digits of the card with the date and amount, and the email to reply to. | To find the payment and tell the right person what it was. |
| You visit a page | The page, the page you came from, your browser's name, your IP address, your country as reported by our network provider, and a short one-way code made from your IP address and browser. | To count visitors, understand how people find us and spot bots and attacks. |
| You pay for a service we run | Stripe gives us your name, email, the last four digits of the card, the amount and the date. | To take the payment, send receipts and answer billing questions. |
We do not use cookies to track visitors. See our cookies page.
Who we share it with
Only with the companies that help us run the site, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe, which processes card payments.
- Cloudflare, which delivers the site and protects it from attacks.
- Postmark, which delivers our emails, through our own email service.
- Our hosting provider, whose servers store the site and its records.
- Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces on this site and so sees your IP address when a page loads.
We share information with authorities only when the law requires it. We never sell personal information.
How long we keep it
- Support tickets and charge lookups: six years after the last message, so we can answer billing disputes and meet accounting rules.
- Page visit records: 24 months, then deleted.
- Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
How we protect it
The site is only served over encrypted connections. Our records are stored outside the public web folder on our servers, and only we can reach the admin console. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you without undue delay if a breach affects your information.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act and the UK and EU GDPR, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete it, unless we must keep it by law or for an open dispute;
- stop or limit how we use it.
Email us or open a ticket from the address the information is about. We reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Where it is processed
We are based in Thailand. The providers above process information in the countries where they operate, including the United States and the European Union, under their own safeguards for international transfers.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top of the page. If a change affects how we use information we already hold, we tell the people affected by email first.
